The recent steamy weather in New York is making me want more lightweight throw-on and go pieces to wear all summer long (and, with the right styling, even into the fall). I begin my line-up with this simple-yet-perfect gauze piece in the most incredible lapis blue that is on its way to me as we speak. p.s. I also got the black, because no-brainer.
This floral number embodies the romance of summer without being overly sweet.
I am picturing this breezy Madewell dress with these sandals and some big hoops.
An easy shirtdress from H&M can be worn myriad ways: loose, belted, with flip flops or nice sandals, thrown over a bikini, etc. etc. p.s. It also comes in a really good classic blue.
I love the deep deep blue here.
Here’s another cute shirtdress, but this time a bit more polished with little puffed shoulders.
Cos’s simple kaftan style is just pure chic, and who doesn’t love a side pocket?
And this one has such a cool-pretty pattern.
The bold check here takes this peasanty dress somewhere more elevated.
The Liberty-esque floral and billowy shape of this Mango frock make for a sweet South-of-France vibe.
Great selections! Loving the last one – really wish Mango would include info on length (their size predictor tool is waaay off) – and the Emerson Fry has been taunting me since Kim featured it last week.
Sneaking in here as someone who isn’t quite forty — but after two pregnancies and working on a third, any thoughts on belting the more billowy styles to give myself a waist and avoid the poochy/pregnant look? I used to love slim patent belts in poppy colors, but now that seems to make me look even more poochy/pregnant. Would love to see a post on belt options, maybe a wider woven belt is what I need? Anyway, I enjoy reading the blog, thank you!
I would also love a post on belts! I’m generally clueless in that department.
Love the first one but sold out already!
Found the H&M gauze dress in black, (the first dress shown), on the Canadian website. Love this! Thanks for posting. 🙂
H&M is putting out some good looking stuff.
Like quite a few of these but loving the COS dress. They seem to have that comfortable yet polished for work vibe at least on the less tent like styles.
In theory I love the idea of these dresses. But on me, at least, the look
gets very nightgown-esque.
Yeah, I had that thought as well. And at least one here looks like a hospital gown…. be careful!
When I saw the first dress, I thought for sure the link was going to take me to Xirena, not H&M. A very wallet-happy surprise.
