There is So Much Good Stuff at Gap Right Now (and it’s all on sale!)

It’s always hit or miss here (unlike in the late ’90s-early naughts when it was always hit after hit). But Gap is having a great moment as we speak and I would be remiss not to share — plus, the price is already always right, and now everything is 40% off with another 10% on top for the big friends and family sale. Thinking a bit ahead to romantically crisp fall days, how about a dramatic long trench in a rich coppery shade?

Here’s a great pair of jeans that have a good vintage-y rise and perfect wash.

You can wear this poppy sweater in major air conditioning or on breezy summer nights/mornings.

I love this crisp khaki jumpsuit with earthy sandals now, and maybe over a turtleneck with ankle boots later on.

If you’re looking for a simple evergreen denim jacket, here you go. And those front slash pockets are key!

Classic summer sandals in leopard feel a little more exciting that your plain variety, and would go perfectly with that jumpsuit.

A 100% cotton cardigan is a no brainer to throw over slip dresses or tuck into jeans, as shown. Of course I love the army green, but the navy and red stripe is pretty cute too.

This refined leather biker jacket (not so many bells and whistles) now comes out to just over $250, which truly is a wild bargain.

I always love some classic chinos to wear a bit slouchy with everything from hippie tops to blazers. This pair has a nice crop to show off some good ankle boots.

Such a cute short jumpsuit to wear with sneakers or flat sandals.

I just bought this cotton pajama top because it will look just like Rouje or an old Liberty print Cacharel tucked into some vintage jeans, and after the sale it was practically free.

It’s always a good idea to have an army jacket at the ready to give floral dresses and nice trousers a little edge. this one has great big chest pockets and feels almost like a shirt, which I love.

These cozy clogs remind me a lot of the Jenni Kayne slides, but for way less.

    1. i have the gap leather jacket from a few seasons ago (it doesn’t seem to change) and i have to say it’s tops! just simple, straight forward, and classic.

    2. Decided to call it a “birthday present” (October isn’t that far away, right?) and go for it. Have been searching for an affordable leather jacket for years and wouldn’t have seen this one without your post. Thanks!

  1. I like this black leather jacket more than the Madewell one because it has less “stuff” on it. Very tempting even in 80 degree weather! I can vouch for the chinos. I have a pr of Gap chinos that have lasted forever and get better as they age.

  2. Wow! Those slides are almost exactly like the Jenni Kayne ones. I guess “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
