The IWTBH Fall Bag Guide: Petite Baguettes

My friend Wendy,  a big deal accessories designer, was just telling me how many cute little bags there are around, no doubt inspired by the ones that were so popular in the ’90s — mostly made famous by Prada and Fendi. Aside from being completely chic and fresh, they’re also compact and easy to carry (or tuck into a tote), which is just what we all need right now!

This one is nylon with vegan leather trim, and is very Prada circa 1994. Plus it comes with a longer strap should you feel like carrying a crossbody.

Here’s a polished little number with an interesting curved flap.

This version is super streamlined and slick, and could work well as an evening bag.

Loeffler Randall’s snake-embossed purse is now on big sale.

This one has a slight late ’60’s- early ’70s pocketbook vibe.

The bean shape here is super fun, and the strap is adjustable so you can wear it as a high crossbody.

If you’re looking for something elegant but a little cool, look no further.

If you squint, this crazy furry one could pass for Fendi!

And this little guy is quite elevated for Urban Outfitters.

  1. I’ve been procrastinating forever on getting a new everyday bag that will close up tight and be sort of waterproof, unlike my beloved Baggu bucket bag, and I finally went for the nylon circa 1994 one! Affordable, vegan, and brings me back to my days working for Cosmo.

  2. Been obsessing over vintage Fendi Baguettes! These are so good. Mango always on it with their bags. Love
