So Many Good Deals at Cos Right Now

I first discovered this place in Covent Garden about five years ago, and then started getting more into it when they opened a big store in Soho here in NYC. The vibe is minimal chic with a twist, not unlike Jil Sander in its sensibilty. And right now there is a lot of good stuff on sale, starting with this elevated chino jumpsuit that, like most things here, could be a casual or work piece.

I am crazy about this dumpling of a bag that is basically a small tote/hobo with a chic, slouchy exterior. Totally polished without being stiff!

The tie front on this navy tee dress gives it a nice little extra something and creates a good shape to boot.

Punchy lilac earrings are now only $12.50, but look like something you’d find at Maryam Nassir Zadeh.

This interesting skirt can be dressed up or down and could easily pass for Comme des Garçons. Plus, come fall it will be calling our for some cool ankle boots.

Here’s an easy striped tee dress to wear with sneakers or flip flops all summer long.

Denim chinos can take the place of a summer trouser and are just a nice change from your basic 5 pocket style.

This cool flowy jumpsuit could work in any situation that calls for a little black dress.

And a fitted white shirt is always a great thing to have in the closet to wear with everything (even under that jumpsuit!)

  1. Love that skirt but I’m short, so I’m concerned about The length and how I could have it shortened…

    1. Honestly, I’ve seen that, too. Seems to be all over the place. I’ll just check out measurements.

    2. In my experience it is all over the place! But they’re all very well made and worth the money and all that, so – worth pushing through…

  2. I discovered COS last August in Paris – in the Marais – and they were having an amazing sale and introducing their Fall Collection…btw, I think their sizes run fairly large, especially in pants.

  3. I love it when people who really know fashion agree with me. I have always thought their aesthetic was like Jil Sander. I really like their fabrics as well. My only beef is that the sizing can be inconsistent because so much of the line is over-sized. Not a problem if you live near a store and can try on, but a pain if you have to rely on mail order.

  4. I find the sizing to be TTS and I’ve had so many pieces. I lived in Stuttgart for years and COS is hugely popular throughout Germany. I find it odd that nearly every single item is made in China. Nothing I’ve purchased is made in EU or Sweden where I believe they’re based.
