It’s a Great Time For Some Light Cashmere

I love super-soft yarn any time of year, but particularly right now, to throw over tees and tanks, before it gets outrageously cold. And of course thinner sweaters work later layered under everything! This puff sleeved cardigan adds a nice dose of feminine to anything and I would love it over a black slip dress for the effect shown here. Plus, when no layering is required you can really show off those shoulders!

Think of J. Crew’s pullovers as your winter workhorses. And they come in so many good shades (although I’m a sucker for this camel and dark heather gray).

A pretty wrap sweater like this is great with jeans or over fancier dresses, and gives a bit of an off-duty ballerina vibe.

Vince’s nutmeg cardi has a great neckline and chic ribbing.

I’ve never been one for a short sleeved sweater, but looking at Everlane’s cute cashmere tee has made me change my mind fast.

This cheetah number is just plain fun, and works here with army pants, but is also calling out for some black jeans or skinny trousers.

There’s something about this cashmere polo that feels very effortless French (and luxe). It’s making me want to wear it with some slouchy menswear trousers.

Uniqlo’s pullover is so thin it almost feels like a tee.

And here’s a cool subtle snakeprint if you want to feel a bit more rock ‘n roll.

I love a classic gray crewneck with beat up jeans (and maybe a good suede loafer!)

I love how this cool slouchy striped piece has a little pop of red around the edges, and it’s giving me a real Sonia Rykiel feeling.
