Cute (and Just Comfy Enough) Pants

If you’ve been leaning too hard on the sweatpants lately, maybe it’s time to look to something a little more elevated that’s still easy to wear. Behold Nili Lotan’s chic and slouchy painter pants. So good around the house on work days, or with sneakers or ankle boots as shown right here. p.s. I would wear them with a white tee and classic Arizona Birkenstocks all summer, too.

These look like nice wool trousers, but just pull right on with the ease of a lounge pant.

If you like a good army pant, here’s one with a loose leg that you can dress up if you really want to.

Everlane’s Barrel pants are nice and roomy in the seat and thigh and are mostly cotton with hint of stretch, so you can sit at your desk — or on the couch — comfortably.

Gap’s wide-leg cotton pants make a nice jeans alternative (with a bit of spandex for easy movement).

Rag & Bone’s trompe-l’oeil sweats looks just like jeans.

Here’s a drop-crotch wool pant that could make a perfect at-home piece, but also a cool accompaniment to a more classic shrunken blazer or simple cashmere sweater.

Here’s another suit pant that slips right on like a Pajama bottom.

And these are like a fluid sweater for your bottom half.

  1. I have a pair of pants from Uniqlo that I LOVE – unfortunately they don’t make the exact same one any more, but they have an elastic waist and bottoms (kind of like joggers), but are dressy enough that you could get away with wearing them to a business-casual office. A friend of mine had a pair and swore by them; she described them to me as “comfortable yet dressy” and she says I initially responded by saying “You think those are dressy?” LOL. Joke was on me because I bought a pair and have worn them constantly ever since. If Uniqlo offers similar pants, they’re probably a good bet. I also swear by all the Uniqlo Heattech stuff in the cold weather!

  2. I have those VINCE pull-on pants and I love them! You’d never know that they were pull-on just by looking at them. And that MANGO plaid suit is giving me 6397 vibes!
