Background: Today I’m featuring my chic friend and neighbor whose celebrity clients include Rachel Brosnahan, Florence Welch, and Gwyneth Paltrow, to name just three. Lisa has the magical gift of being able to make everyone look their glowing best without appearing like they have on a stitch of makeup (no easy feat, trust me). She also always looks effortlessly cool even on a school run, so take heed of all her current favorites, and follow her here for inspiration and fun makeup tutorials.
Hometown: Vancouver, Canada (now, NYC)
Self-Described Style: This is hard since I find myself dressing differently on each coast or as the seasons change. I travel to L.A. a lot for work and its such a different vibe. For the most part I’m tomboy chic but I also love a girly vintage blouse as much as I love a men’s dress shirt. Though I’m never without my gold jewelry – I feel naked without it!
Style Icons: Julia Roberts in the ’90s, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen – I have an unhealthy obsession with oversized clothing and everything The Row. But also Kate Moss for her undone sexiness.
Three Things that I can’t live without: AG1 – It keeps my gut on track and is the first thing I drink in the morning after water every day. My Higher Dose Mat – I lie on it almost every day. It’s incredibly healing and lulls me into a sleep-ready headspace when I lie on it before bed. Exercise – normally pilates, yoga, lots of walking and hiking when possible.
Clothing Item that I’ll never get rid of: My vintage Armani houndstooth blazer. I found it at a thrift store in Greenport about 15 years ago and it’s still in heavy rotation. I’ll usually style it with my favorite Everlane white tee, Agolde jeans (see below), and loafers or low boots.
Motto: Eat healthy, sleep well, enjoy life!
- Anna Sheffield Serpent Earrings: Serpents traditionally represent a creative life force – when I put it them on it feels like some added magic! They also dress up my casual attire and simple makeup look.
2. Ursa Major Mountain Glow Serum: It took me way too long to discover this, and I use it often, even as an everyday moisturizer. I’ve got really irritable skin and this makes it so happy and glowy!
3. Madewell Leather Blazer: It’s buttery soft and elevates any look, even if I’m wearing my Adidas track pants and a sweater. I get to be cozy and still look put together.
4. Chantecaille Stress Repair Concentrate +: This is my main eye cream in my makeup kit and I’ve used it personally for years as well. The texture is beautiful and it really helps to lift and smooth the under-eye area.
5. Acne Men’s button-downs: I admittedly only have one of these but it’s my favorite white shirt! It’s crispy but soft and the wider men’s cut plays into my love of an oversized fit.
6. Bliss Lau Reflection Emerald Necklace: Life can be chaotic so I wear this to harness its calming and inspirational energy.
7. Agolde ’90s Jeans: These just fit my curvy body so well! They’re also really comfortable and they make great vintage Levis-esque washes.
8. RMS Legendary Serum Lipstick: I love every shade from this new lip collection! The effect is between a stain and a classic lipstick and the formula is deeply hydrating.
9. New Balance 990v6: If I could wear sneakers every day, I would! Though I do still like to look chic so it’s always a balance (no pun intended). Somehow these never fail to work whether with sweats, pants or even a dress.
10. Merit Flush Balm: This is such an easy and natural way to help wake up your complexion. The twist-up stick is really simple to use and also contains no irritants or fragrance, which is great for my rosacea-prone, sensitive skin.

This!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I get so irritated when beautiful, stylish women give their “ best of’s” as just like a little dab of ole Vaseline or a warm happy smile as their secret weapon. But this article!! Man it was good. Thank you! Thank you!!
I am slammed with Instagram ads for that Ursa Major serum and this is going to be my nudge to buy it; I need something new for winter! Thanks!
