Work-Worthy Jeans

After the Banana Republic edit on Monday, I heard you all loud and clear: you’re sick of “whiskers” and frayed hems. Ok ok! So here are a bunch of jeans that I think are pretty grown-up and ready to be paired with pieces like silk blouses and tailored blazers. How about these chic, dark slightly flared trousers for a start?

Here’s another great pair with a slightly wide leg and sailor-y front packets.
A cute cropped baby bell would be perfect with a fitted-on-the-ankle heeled boot and sharp jacket.

You can keep Everlane’s simple pair in all their dark glory for the office, or wash them and wear them until they’re beat up naturally. But, at under $70 each, maybe get two pairs!
Madewell’s got some good, plain black skinnies to wear myriad ways.

I tried these A.P.C. sailor jeans and forget that they’re denim.  they’re basically just a great pair of wide-leg pants that are screaming for a cute shoe and jacket.

I’m happy to see that Madewell has extended their sizing on jeans. They’re pretty good!

I was one of those complainers! Thank you for this post. This is awesome. And I just checked out Madewell, my old favorite place for denim, and they FINALLY have better sizing and are offering more work-friendly options.

I was also one of the complainers, but I am not complaining now. These are great! They aren’t work worthy for me (I am a lawyer) but they are just the thing to wear all weekend with everything.

I love that you show a variety of silhouettes.

I like the frayed hem look! But these are great too!
