Top 5: Lola Plaku, Music-Artist Manager/Developer

Lola, shown here having fun at rapper French’s birthday party with none other than Drake, has such a cool job! She started her career in the music industry by hosting a party/concert when she was just starting college.  Then she landed her own radio show on campus before getting into journalism with a stint writing for online magazine HipHopCanada and a few other blogs interviewing tons of artists like 50Cent, T.I., Soulja Boy, Black Eyed Peas, Fabolous and a bunch more. Lola’s contacts led her to start promoting parties in Toronto because she had a knack for that sort of thing. And now she is a full-fledged artist manager (she discovers a lot of them) and party host. Her first show and second shows were with none other than Big Sean. And she’s produced a ton more shows from French Montana, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, A$AP Ferg, Trinidad James, Dej Loaf, Chief Keef, Kehlani, The Weeknd and a few others. Anyway, she is one major mover and shaker (and really, really nice) and has a few things to say about a few things she loves.

 1. Chanel Chance “The little 50 ML bottle seriously never leaves my bag. I take it everywhere with me, and have a bottle at my homes in Toronto and in NYC. It fits in pretty much every purse I have (which is not that many) and I can go through airport security without any issues since it’s under the limit. Plus I never get tired of hearing “wow, you smell amazing.” Coco Chanel has said “No elegance is possible without perfume. It is the unseen, unforgettable, ultimate accessory.” …and she’s right. It’s my best accessory.”

 2. Losing My Virginity by Richard Branson “One of the best books I have read. It made me happy, made me cry, made me re-evaluate my life, and it motivated me to keep trying and reaching for the sky. Richard Branson is a brilliant man.”

4. Gucci Mid-heel slide “I recently saw these at a store in Toronto and didn’t want to leave until they called other locations to find my size. They make me feel dressy but still casual. Absolute love.”
3.Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick in Lady Balls  “Make up is not really my forte. I prefer a clean natural skin and as little make up as possible. If I can get away with just wearing mascara and a good moisturizer, I will be happy. A friend introduced me to this matte red lipstick that never smudges and it’s literally one of the best purchases I have made. You can have a plain face but throw this red on and voila, your look changes completely. Now you look like you’re going somewhere.”

 5. Louis Vuitton Neverfull “It took me forever to find the perfect travel purse. My Macbook air needs to be in my bag at all times because I don’t know when I’ll need it, and through all the purses I tried, and bought, this is probably my favorite. It matches pretty much every outfit and color theme and it’s extremely light for a medium size bag.”

Have heard good things about this lipstick–know someone who only buys lipsticks with awesome names and she loves Lady Balls by Too Faced and also uses F-Bomb by Urban Decay and Starwoman by NARS.
