The Edit: Urban Outfitters

As I sit inside lamenting about this horrible, rainy weather, I think ahead to spring (whenever it decides to show up already) and all of the cute pieces here. I will start my picks with this incredible baby blue classic biker jacket that looks a lot like my old Balenciaga one. It’s a little tough and a little sweet and a lot perfect.

I’m into gold hoops lately and super-thick bigger huggies are calling to me.
A loose and breezy jumpsuit is cute now with some booties and a light jacket, and later with sandals or thrown over a bikini at the beach.

Here’s a pretty lavender fitted tank to layer under sheer pieces and button-downs. I would even wear it as a bathing suit top. p.s. it comes in black, a cute red stripe, and other neutrals, too.
Yay! Dr. Scholls! They bring back memories of my cool babysitter in her cut-off short shorts. This new clear version is the perfect modern iteration.

Levi’s wedgie jeans give good butt and feel a little nerdy-girlie-French.
I love the bigger/longer shape of this retro-y corduroy jacket. Just right for spring days and chillier evenings. I kind of love the lavender version, too.

A straw circle bag is perfectly urban and polished in black.
I am a huge fan of Urban Renewal, their genius reworked vintage line, and this pretty floral dress is exactly why.

My favorite circle barrette, much like the one made famous by Celine, is now on sale for ten bucks.
Jeffrey Campbell’s chic woven mules look a lot more expensive than they are.

I never tire of a good ballet sweater. This one, in cream or black, would look great over a flowy dress or longer tee.
I will finish with a pair of magnificent red clogs (how did they know I was nostalgic for my childhood pair?) These are screaming for a cute Canadian tuxedo or sweet little dress.

The red clogs are magnificent indeed! Love the classic low heel. My original Dr. Scholl’s were red, too. Love the updated version.

Did your cool babysitter in the cutoff shorts have bloody blisters on her feet? Those NEVER felt good on my feet, but I kept begging my mom for new pairs!

    Love the Jeffrey Campbell mules!

Hahhahaaa. She didn’t. She was cool!! And I was little so I had to get the ones that were flat — no heel. Remember those??

Rain? We just had a weekend with eight more inches of snow. Plus another snow storm barreling down on us for Wednesday. This is Iowa. We should be gardening by now.
