How I Wear It: Alt-Pregnancy Style

I met Anna, a jewelry designer, in 2011, after chasing her down the street to ask who did her hair and then ended up shooting her for the blog. Cut to now when she’s due any second with her first baby and back showing us the cute outfits she’s been wearing (with very few maternity pieces!). Anna loves being pregnant because as she puts it “I feel super productive even when I’m not doing anything!” Her self-described style is  “Classic tomboy” and she has a few pregnancy savoirs to share: Two old Alexander Wang T-line dresses that are almost threadbare now, Stan Smiths and Weleda Stretch Mark Massage Oil “I put it everywhere — even in my hair!”

Here, she shows us three looks, from left to right:

1. “I call this a Texas tuxedo. .” I also love a good sturdy cowboy-ish motorcycle-y boot and, of course, a trench is always great for a little polish.” Maternity jeans from Seraphine ,  vintage men’s Levi’s chambray shirt tied over her belly, simple classic trench and sturdy/splurgy Ann Demeulemeester black boots

2. “I would wear this for running around doing errands during the day. Menswear shirts have been my go-tos lately.” Vintage overalls from IWTBH Vintage, vintage menswear button-down and those trusty Stan Smiths.

3.  “The skirt is refined but stretchy and comfy! And when in doubt throw on a blazer.” Size XL Hanes V-neck knotted at the waist, Maria Cornejo Spiral Skirt, classic blazer and Everlane flats.
