Best of the Week 3/17/17

That early spring in New York turned out to be the big fake-out, so I am still trying to figure out how to look and feel cute in anything but a basic parka. So I was happy to accidentally find this fun metallic silver pullover puffer which, while I agree is a little “Hey everybody, here I come”should still do the trick, don’t you think?

I am off for a much-needed manicure later today and am so happy to be armed with Chanel’s La Base. It just makes your nails look a little more polished (no pun intended) like those of a chic Parisian — not too shiny, no real color and just clean clean clean.
Last week I raved about my new ‘is-she-or-isn’t-she-wearing-a-bra’ bra. Then my friend Christine found this version that you might actually want to see peeking out a little.
I  just ordered The Beautiful People’s Beauty Book from 1972. It’s going to be so fabulously ridiculous and I can’t wait to read it (although of course I hope there are a few time-tested gems in there). And yes, I judged this book by its cover — the glasses alone make the purchase so worth it.
I came across these great ankle boots while perusing the Frye site. They’ve got a little western silver toe tip and are very Lou Doillon.

I have heard truly amazing things about that book.

I looked up the Princess on Wikipedia, where her book is described as “a straightforward approach to narcissism”…Haha! Very fitting in these times, don’t you think? 😉 But she was a beauty…I think that’s her on the cover!

*Andrea, I watched a great little clip on YouTube last night of you interviewing Jenna Lyons. Great!

It’s definitely her on the cover! Aw, that Jenna Lyons thing was really fun! xx

A straightforward approach to narcissism?! OMG that’s hilarious!! I wonder if Agent Orange gave it to Ivanka when she was a wee Trumplet? He and the Princess do share a certain kind of complexion!

My little A cups don’t fill out that pretty Glossies bra but the Cosabella Soire Sheer Molded Bra is the closest I’ve found.

    Princess Luciana Pignatelli. OHMYGOD.

I so wish I could wear that bra! It’s awesome and so 80s
