Best of the Week: 1/19/18

Photo: Martin Albert

Today we bring you closet number two, pieces from none other than creative director/illustrator/my high school bff, Anne Johnston Albert (who looks very serious here, but I promise, she’s really fun with a wicked sense of humor). She used to draw those caricatures of me in the back of Lucky, illustrated I Want to be Her!, and appears as one of the chic women in The Cool Factor. Anne has the best taste of anyone I know and is ready to part with some of her goodies. Lucky us!

I accidentally found this chic and understated bag company in one of my favorite shops on Etsy. The carryall bag  comes in a nice, rich brown water-resistant fabric, has a handy outside pocket, some simple brass hardware, and is a great alternative to any fancy bells-and-whistles tote. Plus it’s on sale for a mere $75!
Mango’s floral dress is totally reminding me of Agnès b. in the late ’80s in the most amazing way!

I can’t stop using Noto’s Agender Oil! It’s made by cool makeup artist Gloria Noto, smells like vetiver (which is like crack to me), and I use it on my skin and the ends of my hair (and all over it and my scalp before shampooing). And the best part is 100% of proceeds go to organizations like Planed Parenthood and LGBT Youth Center.
Feeling the  classic Blundstones again (pair them with that floral dress for a Sassy Magazine revival!)

VERY tempted by the olive tote. But the strap drop is a mere 8″ — do you find this comfortable enough to wear over the shoulder?

Love her bag! It looks like it’s from the same collection as my Chloe Edith Bag. Those were my fave years by Chloe.

I love my timeless Martin pieces! My favorite top unfortunately wore out but the pants are going strong. All the proportions were just perfect!

    who wouldnt wanna be her!????
shes a true beauty, inside and out. Inside and out of her closet too!! I too covet my Martin pieces and just got a pair of blundtstones for my daughter Oona who has size 10 feet at 11 years old 🙂 good thing we share the same size…too bad Im only 5’5″ and she will most likely be far taller than I, lucky for her 🙂
I could just look at Annes face forever hahaha, thats Marty’s gig and he always was a wise one!
