Beauty Tips from a Pro

My good friend Tina Lipman, a seasoned makeup artist, is one of those cool women who always looks effortless and never, ever “made up”. Her philosophy is this:  “For me, both professionally and privately, healthy skin is the goal. Once you have to “ cover” something it’s already too much makeup . At work I work most intensely on making the skin glow. Make it look natural, yet flawless. These products are staples in my life at home and on set.” So don’t you want to listen to what she has to say about her favorite products?

Tom Ford Illuminate and Shade. “Of all the contour stuff I’ve tried this is the best and more important easier to use than most contour/highlight I’ve tried and worked with. It’s very natural-looking and the # 01 I’ve used on ALL skin tones.”
De Mamiel Brightening Cleanse and Exfoliate “It’s this clay-colored powder and  you add few drops of water, which makes it become this mousse-like consistency . It can be used as a cleanser or left on as a mask. It really gives your skin an instant flush of color.”

La Mer Long Wear Foundation spf 20. “This has become the trick of my really long lasting make ups on set. It’s fantastic and very natural looking. You only need a small amount for a daily flawless (but not ‘made up’) look. Again a bit pricey but you’ll have this for long time and only use a small amount as needed. For work I use the La Mer concealer and loose powder as well. But personally I just use a dot of foundation that I brush on lightly with no powder.”
Glossier Cloud Paint  “It comes in this cute little tube and a tiny dot on the apple of the cheek is enough to create the perfect sun-kissed look . It’s stretches easily and you can’t go wrong.”

The Beautiful Oil by Kjær Weis
“Is probably the best thing I’ve ever done for my skin . It is hands down the best facial oil I’ve ever tried. I use it morning and night and I use it for my work as well. It feels amazing and your skin just absorbs it instantly. It’s all natural and comes in a large bottle. It’s pricey but worth every penny. And you will not break out from it!”
Restorative tonic mist by January Labs “You can can use this before make up or after. Or use it anytime… it’s delicious!”
